This afternoon, in heat that felt like 40 degrees, a few brave souls laid hundreds of rolls of sod at Lockwood Park. The goal was to finish off the landscaping around the natural playground, cenotaph, basketball court and stage before Canada Day. And the goal was reached. Thanks to Green Street Challenge and Elizabeth Hess for the sod.
And who were the brave souls who defied the heat to get the job done? I want to thank, Paul and Heather Snider, Mark and Miriam Snider, Phil and Maureen and Matthew Young, Peter Evans, Derek Palmer and Elizabeth Hess.
Come see for yourself! July 1st @ 1:30. Official Opening of the stage by The Honourable Steve Clark, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the announcement of the 2018 Senior of the Year take place before we kick off the Canada Day parade.
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!
