Last year, volunteers were encouraged to plant spring bulbs at the Village gateway signs. One group of friends chose the Village entrance at County Rd 42 and planted daffodils. It was a welcoming sight this spring, and made more so due to COVID-19. These volunteers have just planted more daffodil bulbs at the same location. Another reason to look forward to April.

Two other Westport gateway signs, Mountain Road by Sand Lake and Salem Rd, could use some spring bulbTLC . The gateway on County Rd 10 will have to wait until 2022 when the road is reconstructed.
