The excitement builds in the Village each spring as the wooden flower boxes are set out. No flowers yet – but we know what is coming! And then it seems like in a blink of an eye, we have beautiful flower boxes, baskets and gardens.
Thank you to each Westport Bloom Volunteer for making our Village a colourful and welcoming place for people to live and visit.
This afternoon (Mar 7 – 24), the Ontario government introduced legislation Enhancing Professional Care for Animals Act. The Act would improve transparency and align oversight of the veterinary profession with other regulated professions in Ontario. It would also explicitly recognize the role of veterinary technicians as part of the broader animal care team in the delivery of veterinary medicine. In combination with regulations, this legislative framework would also enable the recognition of other non-veterinary animal care providers.
Minister Lisa Thompson made the announcement today with many rural and agricultural stake holders in the Legislature. Thank you for including ROMA on the guest list. It was great to catch up with so many friends.
