Great turnout last night in the Village for the annual Shop and Hop event. Lots of people moving from store to store shopping and getting their passports signed while listening to the beautiful tenor voice of Steve Kennedy. The horse drawn wagon was a huge hit – with line ups of local residents and families waiting for their turn to tour the Village. Congratulations to Cynthia Pringle and Martha Kudrinko and your team!
A very special thank you to the Westport Arts Council who turned the Home Hardware parking lot on Church St into a European Christmas market for the Shop and Hop. Lovely during the day, it was magical during the evening with Christmas lights twinkling everywhere. Thank you to the large number of Some Kind of Choir carollers who lent their voices to the festivities, particularly its accompanist Mary Lou Carroll and hubby Rob. And to Les Cliff, your hospitality was awesome – thanks for letting WAC transform your parking lot.
By the way, when Santa visited last night, I pulled on his beard and asked about the weather for today’s Lions Westport Santa Claus parade … he had a twinkle in his eye and said that he and Rudolph agree it will be dry!.
See you this afternoon
