Update on Westport Beer Store closure
I want to provide an update on the Beer Store closure in the Village. Our MPP, Steve Clark, has been working on our behalf. He has learned that the Beer Store is closed due to a reoccurrence of a mould problem. MPP Clark has been advocating with Brewer’s Retail to provide beer sales and returns while dealing with the remediation. He is optimistic and hoping to have good news by next weekend.

‘Twas a ghoulishly fun time!
So many children and their families joined the fun of trick-or-treating in Westport this year. There was good weather, fabulous decorations by outstanding homeowners, and the knowledge that we kept each other safe.
Councillor Carty and I had lots of treats, but no tricks, at Town Hall, where we met with so many friends.

Well done Westport Laundromat!
When I discovered late last night that my washer had quit with a full load of towels, I put together the plan to go to the Westport Laundromat today. Draping wet towels over the deck railing overnight took the worst of the water out before loading everything up this morning.
The first thing I noticed when I entered the laundromat, was the wonderful smell of a freshly cleaned room. And the second was that the whole laundromat was spotless! The laundry left behind by another had been neatly folded, the machines shone as did the floor.
I want to take a moment to give Cathy and Guy Davidson a shout out for their time, effort and obvious pride of ownership. Thank you.
