WESTPORT GARDENS – AT THEIR PEAK!
As I walk through the village, I feel inspired and at peace at the same time. The reason? The gardens are all at their peak – displaying vibrant reds, blues, yellows, pinks, and lush greens.
Sadly, it won’t be long before they transition to winter. Many maple trees are already showing their autumn red colours.
Let’s all express our gratitude to Westport Blooms and every home and business owner who takes the time and effort to bring colour and beauty to our village.
Thank you for caring about our hometown.
HAPPY CANADA DAY, WESTPORT
Thank you to all involved in planning such a busy and fun-filled day. It began with the Library Board cooking breakfast on Spring St., the Westport Council recognizing David Egan as Westport’s Senior of the Year (congratulations Dave!) and Westport Arts Council unveiling their 2024 Art on the Street “one-of-a-kind” Muskoka chairs.
The bicycle parade was earlier this year – at 10:30 – and so many children were riding the route with their parents, grandparents and family pets. The Westport Legion Colour Party and the Lions Club led the parade and the OPP and Rideau Lakes Fire Department lent their presence to keep us safe. Thank you.
The afternoon at Lions Beach was full of games and fun activities. Of course, it all winds up at dusk with the fireworks near the Legion. Lots more going on in the area.
Westport Council hopes everyone enjoyed the Day. Glad you joined in!

YOU are invited to our January 1, 2024 New Year’s Levee! Please join us.
Christmas 2023
We feel profound gratitude to the residents and business owners of the Village and a strong sense of duty to provide leadership and understanding as your municipal government.
Westport Council and Staff wish everyone a Merry Christmas and peace, good health and the love of family and friends in 2024.
