Province of Ontario Senior of the Year Award

It is time to nominate someone for the Province of Ontario Senior of the Year Award for the Village of Westport.  The Ontario Senior of the Year Award gives each municipality in Ontario the opportunity to honour one outstanding local Ontarian who after the age of 65 has enriched the social, cultural or civic life of his or her community.

Recipients must be at least 65 years of age and have made their community a better place to live.

Seniors who qualify for this award may have contributed in many different fields, such as the arts, literature, community service, voluntarism, education, fitness and sport or humanitarian activities.

If you know of a deserving senior who you would like to nominate, please contact Niki at Town Hall for the application form or go to our website @ villageofwestport.ca and print, complete and drop off the form to Niki.

Nomination forms are due at Town Hall by Tuesday, April 26.  Councillors will select one nomination for the award and submit it to the Ontario Government.
