On Wednesday, the new generator was delivered and final installation will occur within the next few weeks. This grant funded acquisition will ensure that regardless of weather events like strong winds, summer thunderstorms, and heavy winter snow and ice storms – our sewage pumping station will continue to work.
The residents who live close by should see (or hear) a significant reduction in the number of alarms.
Plans are underway to install a lift, which will move people to the upstairs of the WTC Communications Centre, opening up exciting new programming opportunities. The Village is interested in hearing your ideas about what activities you would like to see offered – for all ages.
The lift is expected to be installed by the end of December. Council will already be into budget discussions by that time so the Village is reaching out now to get your input. If you have some suggestions, please send them to our Recreation Manager Chris Chisamore – cchisamore@villageofwestport.ca.
This lift is similar to the one that will be installed at the WTC Communications Centre.
For the second year in a row, the Village has received a $100K grant to repair and replace sidewalks. The north side of Spring St from Concession to Main rose to the top of the priority list in 2022 based on a sidewalk condition assessment that was completed a couple of years ago.
The work continues and will be finished in time for the kids “trick or treating”.
Come out on Sunday at 3:00 and be part of history. Junior C RIDEAUS are in the house for their first exhibition game. They are playing South Grenville at the WTC Communications Centre.
