This is to advise you of a road closure on County Road 36 – south of the Lanark County border – to replace two culverts. Due to the depth of the culvert, the road will be closed from Wednesday, August 23rd to Wednesday, August 30th.

The annual conference for Mayors is taking place in Ottawa. Lots of interesting speakers and timely information. Had the opportunity to meet with Minister Chiarelli to update him on our progress with building the new waste water system and to remind him of our financial challenges. He continues to be receptive. 
What a fabulous day in the Harbour. Over 40 beautiful, well cared for antique boats filled our docks today and gave lots of thrills and jogged memories of other summers at the lake. Hundreds of people wandered about the harbour today, enjoying the best of what summer has to offer. Well … at least until the thunderstorms cut the show a little short. Council has planned a small ceremony tomorrow to celebrate the beginning of construction for the new waste water system. I have just received clearance for members of the public to attend. It is taking place at 10:00 tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at the WWDS on Country Road #10.
A couple of things you need to know. As this is a construction site, access to the general public will be restricted to the area where the speeches are taking place. There is limited parking available, so I suggest you car pool and you may have to park on Country Road #10 and walk in.
